If you weren't aware, Rotary has an Action Group dedicated to fighting Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. Learn more about the group, RAGAS (Rotary Action Group Against Slavery) here: https://ragas.online. If you are passionate about stopping Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, you can join RAGAS without being a Rotary club member. But we would love to have you in our club as well if you are interested.
Club member Toni Lucas updated our club this week and invited us all to join the A21 Walk for Freedom with her on Saturday, October 14 in Moline and Bettendorf. The walk is free. You don't need to be a member to participate. More details are here: https://www.a21.org/shop-event.php?intid=3624. Toni is the Rotary District Co-Chair for the Task Force Against Human Trafficking as well as a RAGAS member.
Here is information to help identify potential victims of Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking as well as how and where to report. Please share with others.
