Rotary World Polio Day Gala Event

River Cities Rotary and Bettendorf Iowa Rotary are joining to present a World Polio Day Gala event Saturday, October 29th at the Quad City Botanical Center. Social Hour begins at 5pm followed by dinner and a program.

A highlight of the program is RILEE, Rotary Iron Lung Education Exhibit. How many of us have never seen one of these machines that kept our parents and grandparents alive in the late '50's and '60's when polio was significantly affecting the United States?
